RYA Competent Crew Course

We run both Inshore Competent Crew and Offshore RYA Competent Crew Courses – It is strongly recommended to complete the inshore course prior to venturing offshore so that you can put new techniques into practice in flat waters before heading out into the Ocean Blue!
These courses are designed for sailors with some previous experience, although the 5 day course cna be undertaken by novice sailors. The techniques and precise manoeuvres you learn in these courses will give you a deserved sense of accomplishment. This course introduces the student to cruising and teaches personal safety, seamanship and helmsmanship to a level required to be a useful member of a cruising yacht. Inshore courses are taught on board our Beneteau 33.7 & Sydney 36 yachts and offshore courses are taught aboard our sleek Beneteau 40.7 and Beneteau 47.7 yachts.
We also suggest that the Dayskipper Shorebased course be commenced in conjunction with these courses so that navigation can be practised during the practical course.

Course Dates : Inshore Courses begin every week. Flexible booking structure, but a minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or postpone a booking.

A minimum of 15 days is required to postpone the 2 or 3 day offshore courses, 30 days for the 5 day course.
