Terms and Conditions
Charter Booking Conditions
CONFIRMATIONS: Bookings cannot be confirmed until deposit is received.
PAYMENTS: Full payment is required prior to departure. Direct credit facilities available, payments using this method should be made at least 72 hours prior to the charter. Cash is accepted. Personal and company cheques are acceptable only if paid 7 days prior to charter.
ALL BOOKINGS: Cancellation require 30 days notice prior to departure in writing. You will be required to produce written acknowledgement of your cancellation request for refunds to take place. All refunds incur 10% administration fee. If you cannot give 30 days notice for cancellation or postponement the deposit will be forfeited and NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
BOND PAYMENTS: Are held for 14 days. Credit card bonds for the yachts are authorised but not banked. The voucher is voided and returned to you unless the yacht is damaged. Personal and company cheques are not acceptable for bond payment.
INCLEMENT OR UNSAFE WEATHER: EastSail determines the suitability of conditions and the possibility of postponement on the day of the charter. In the case of an approved postponement, the deposit will be held by EastSail for a future booking MINUS a 10% administration fee PLUS the full amount of any catering and 2 hours of skipper fees. The remaining deposit will be held for 6 months following the postponement.
VESSEL: EastSail reserves the right to change a charterer's booked vessel to another vessel with as similar size and / or style as possible.
CATERING: Final numbers for catering required 48 hours prior to departure. Catering cannot be cancelled inside this time and you will be charged regardless of your consumption. Drinks can be ordered through our cellars. No returns or storage for left over drinks is available.
CAR PARKING: Parking can be difficult in this area. More than 2 hour parking can be found on most of the western side of New Beach Rd and surrounding streets, however some areas or sides of the street are limited to 2 hours. Please check the signs before leaving your vehicle. There are 2 parking stations in New McLean St, Edgecliff, a 10 minute walk from us.
ATTIRE: Please ensure your guests do not wear black soled shoes or hard shoes as these can mark the decks or damage the varnish work. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
RIGID PLASTIC AND METAL FOOD CONTAINERS OR COOLERS OR 'ESKIES': are not permitted aboard due to the damage they can cause to the timberwork. Each yacht has a fridge or icebox.
DOCKING: Our contract expressly forbids docking at most jetties or wharves. Dinghies are available at no additional cost, or water taxis can be contacted via the radio on your yacht at additional cost. Docking damage is the greatest (and most expensive) risk to your bond.
CHARTER AREA AND OVERNIGHT CHARTERS: Under no circumstances are the yachts allowed offshore. For overnight bareboat charters yachts must not move between sunset and sunrise.
SURCHARGES AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Apply to Boxing Day, New Years period and Australia Day.
