Corporate Sailing Regattas

       

Introduction
An EastSail corporate sailing regatta on Sydney Harbour, offers a unique and thrilling teambuilding experience. Participants sail aboard our fleet of performance Beneteau & Sydney yachts. Each team is led by a highly qualified and experienced skipper who will guide and encourage everyone to take an active part in the steering and sailing of the yacht. The sailing regatta course is strategically planned for the prevailing winds and to take the yachts close to many of Sydney Harbour's best attractions. These regattas are a perfect corporate team building event on Sydney Harbour, they are exciting, and for extra action look at our regatta enhancements such as yachting photographer, spectator boat, team caps, prizes and catering and drinks packages.

EastSail's regattas are an adventurous, inexpensive and healthy event to enhance your conference, company client day, or for staff teambuilding. We can organise sailing regattas for groups of all sizes - from 10 people match racing on 2 yachts to 300 people on 30 yachts. Minimum group size - 10 guests.      Harbour Regatta 

3-4 hours sailing aboard our fleet of luxurious, performance yachts Introduction by EastSail Race Director Full Safety briefing aboard yacht Practice Sail Race organisation, course design, race director and committee boat One Race Water side presentation and debriefing on our waterfront terrace All insurance, safety equipment, spray jackets and fuel Please note : Harbour regattas are not available on Fridays in November, December, February or March - see the Standard and Blue Ribbon Regattas for these months

    
    Standard Regatta

• Same inclusions as Harbour Regatta
• Plus less people aboard each yacht (70-80% capacity aboard)
• Two Races

    Blue Ribbon Regatta

• Same inclusions as standard regatta plus
• Less crew aboard each yacht (60 - 70% capacity aboard)
• EastSail cap in coordinated team colours
• Sports drinks and mineral waters aboard yachts

 
    Twilight Regatta 

• This option has the same inclusions as the Harbour Regatta but in a 2 hour evening format
• Perfect for those long, hot, summer months!

Twilight Gold Same inclusions as twilight regatta plus Less crew aboard each yacht (60 - 70% capacity aboard) EastSail cap in coordinated team colours Sports drinks and mineral waters aboard yachts

    Dawn Regatta

• This option has the same inclusions as the Harbour Regatta but in 2 hour format sailing 0630am - 0830am + light breakfast dockside
• Perfect for those long, hot, summer months and executives who are time challenged!

    Tuesday Regatta & Pizza Deal

• Available on Tuesdays only - April to October inclusive
• This option has the same inclusions as the Harbour Regatta but in 2 hour format sailing 1400 - 1600 + pizza and drinks dockside

Sample Itinerary: Harbour Regatta

(2 races are included in the Standard & Blue Ribbon Regattas)

1330 Welcome to the group by EastSail Race Director and introduction of skippers
1345 Orientation and safety briefing aboard the yachts
1400 Cast off, set sails, crews rehearse sailing manoeuvres and discuss tactics
1445 Teams make their way to the start area
1450 First warning signal - the yachts begin jockeying for the best position on the start line
1455 5 minutes warning signal
1500 The race committee completes the starting sequence flags and then fires the starters gun! (It's incredible to see all the yachts crossing the line in quick succession.) The course is strategically planned to suit the prevailing winds of the day and takes in Sydney's best sites - or we can plan a more serious Olympic Triangle course
1645 Race finished
1700 Presentation on our terrace overlooking the marina
1730 Farewell
