1. Our 'Try sailing' Monday Twlight Sails and Ales Racing is a fantastic way to get out on Sydney Harbour for a social sail, and a chance to see if learning to sail is something you would like to do. You will be racing on aboard one of our Beneteau or Sydney yachts and not just as a passenger - you will be steering and pulling the ropes under the guidance of one of our patient and highly trained RYA sailing instructors! A BBQ and drinks on the dock follow the sailing and all for just $95! And if you sign up for a sailing course after the try sails event we will give you a $50 rebate! Book in now for this fun-filled evening, at 5.45pm Monday 6th February. Can't make this date? Then we also have try-sailing school experiences running on Monday twilights from 5.45-8pm on or March 5.

Our intermediate level sailing school, learn to sail RYA courses: Competent Crew and Dayskipper courses are running every month. You will be sailing aboard our Beneteau 40.7 around Sydney Harbour and offshore, up the NSW coast, included in the course is night sailing. RYA courses are internationally recognised sailing courses. 

 

Eastsail  is now accredited with RYA / YA to offer the International Certificate of Competence of Pleasure craft (ICC).
 
The ICC is documentary assurance from one government to another that the holder is competent, meaning that you don't have to conform to each country's individual certification requirements. This certificate of competence is essential for chartering yachts overseas in countries such as Croatia and Turkey. We are able to examine for both sail and power ICC(international Certificate of Competence)

 

The ICC consists of practical and theory elements that will be assessed over 4 hours.If you are planning to hire a boat overseas then ensure you check licensing requirements. More information on the testing process can be found on the application form (click here).

. Sign up for our RYA/YA learn to sail course 'Start Yachting' for only $575. This beginners learn to sail course on Sydney Harbour and includes the course kit, handbook and RYA/YA certificate and log book. This is a very comprehensive introductory sailing course and includes 4 x 3 hour sailing lessons aboard our 8m Beneteau yachts on Sydney Harbour as well as a theory lesson and a FREE club twilight race. RYA/YA Sailing Qualifications - DaySkipper

RYA courses lead to the RYA Dayskipper qualification is recognised internationally, holders of the RYA Dayskipper can apply directly to Yachting Australia (YA) for an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) to charter overseas. We recommend you complete the Day Skipper shorebased course prior to completing the Dayskipper practical course. This theory shorebased course is 40 hours, either one evening a week, 5 weekend days or a 5 day block and includes: Coastal navigation course , meteorology, seamanship and passage planning. Included are charts and work book. The interactive course is taught by our RYA sailing school Yachtmaster instructors. Once you have completed this theory navigation course you can put it into practise when completing the adventure offshore sailing courses.
