Start Yachting (Harbour) Course & Competent Crew Inshore Course

For postponement of any sailing lessons from these courses for any reason including illness or work commitments, the following will apply:-

Postponement prior to 1pm Wednesday - No penalty

Cancellation or postponement after 1pm Wednesday - $50 re-booking fee. EastSail requires a minimum of three people per lesson and may postpone due to insufficient numbers. Should this happen, we will notify you.

2 and 3 day Start Yachting Competent Crew, Dayskipper, Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster courses 2 & 3 day courses require 15 days days written or email notification which must be acknowledged by us for notice of postponement.

5 day Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Dayskipper, Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster courses

5 day courses require 30 days notice written or email notification which must be acknowledged by us for notice of postponement.

7 sided sailing

7 sided sailing requires 60 days notice of postponement or transfer to a different course.

Club Racing

Requires minimum of 4 hours notice for cancellation or postponement a fee of $25 is payable.

Shorebased theory courses and one day courses

May vary from course to course. Unless otherwise advised postponement requires 14 days written or email notification which must be acknowledged by us.

Private lessons and ICC assessments

Requires at least 7 days notice of postponement.

A liability waiver must be completed and signed prior to sailing with us.

Payment

Courses are valid for 12 months and packages valid for 18 months from date of purchase. Courses must be paid for in full prior to commencement and packages must be paid for in full prior to commencement of the second course of the package.

Refunds

Refunds are not available for any reason.

Attire
Ensure you have comfortable clothing and dressing in layers is recommended. A snug fitting cap, sunglasses with safety strap and sunblock is also recommended. Footwear – wearing suitable footwear is important. Please wear soft soled, non marking covered shoes. We recommend trainers with not black soles. Bare feet and thongs do not give adequate protection.

All student information will be held private and will only be used by EastSail to communicate with students via phone, post, email or newsletter.
