Race Training Course April 2013
Make your racing more enjoyable and fine tune your skills.
Learn to sail fast and then take part in the Sail Port Stephens Regatta in April. One training day in Sydney in early April, then a training day in Port Stephens on 18th April before taking part in the 3 day regatta on 19-21st. Learn to sail with spinnakers, starting techniques, racing rules and much more as we take on the other 165 yachts entered in the exciting regatta series!
Previous Experience Recommended: Start Yachting Course and some Harbour Racing
Ability After Course: Understand basics of racing, course & crew management, sail trim, racing rules

Duration: 5 days. 2 training days and 3 day regatta

EastSail club racing
Previous Experience Required: Must have completed an EastSail sailing course. This is our own race, crewed and skippered exclusively by EastSail graduates. A great way to gain experience after you have learnt to sail with us and widen your circle of acquaintances. Debriefing after each race on our dock overlooking the water, including post race snacks and drinks, supplied by our sponsor Vintage Blue.
Format: APRIL to SEPTEMBER Saturday afternoons from 1.45pm. The first race for 2013 is April 6.
OCTOBER to MARCH Monday twilights from 5.45pm. Final race for 2012/2013 season is 25th March.
Sails and Ales - Try sailing
An opportunity for people who have not learnt to sail with us to take part in our club racing. We hold these every month, incorporated with the students' club race. There is an instructor aboard to show you the ropes! Debriefing after each race on our dock overlooking the water, including post BBQ & drinks, supplied by our sponsor Vintage Blue.

Hamilton Island Race Week

August 2013
Join in the fun of the largest and most exciting sailing regatta in Australia. Sailing out of Hamilton Island on the turquoise waters of the Whitsunday Passage amongst a fleet of more than 250 yachts from around Australia and overseas. There are places aboard our Beneteau First 40's IAGO & LEEWARD, sister ship to Too True, the winner of the 2011 Sydney - Hobart Yacht Race. The skippers are John Quinn aboard Leeward and Ben McGrath aboard Iago - both have completed in previous race weeks with podium finishes! There are all sorts of yachts racing - from the sleek, powerful maxis to the stately cruising yachts. There is fun ashore as well! There are training days in Sydney and Hamilton Island, competing in all of the 9 race week races - the courses take you around many of the islands in the Whitsunday Passage. There are lay days where you can explore the island, join in the festivities at the Hamilton Island Golf Club or cruise over to see the pure white silica sand of Whitehaven Beach, or kick back and sip cocktails by the pool.
Includes: Training in Sydney in July, 1 day crew training in Hamilton Island on the Friday prior to race week, all races in the division entered, regatta entry fee, Whitsunday security insurance and marine park tax Excludes: flights, accommodation, food kitty and share cost of yacht security bond.
