CONFIRMATION: Bookings cannot be confirmed until deposit is received.
PAYMENTS: We require a deposit to confirm any booking and the balance paid prior to the event. Direct debits must be made at least 72 hours prior to the due date and received in our account prior to departure. Visa and mastercard payments incur a surcharge of 2% of the payment amount for values over $1000. Amex/Diners incur a surcharge of 3% of the full payment amount. Cheques must be provided at least 7 days prior to departure.
Number of guests : We require your numbers to your event 14 days prior to the event. Then final numbers are due 72 hours prior to the event, with a maximum decrease no more then 10% of the number given 14 days out. Your invoice will be based on your final numbers given. It maybe possible to increase numbers after this time, based on availability.
CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS: Cancellations require a minimum of 60 days notice prior to departure in writing. You will be required to
produce written acknowledgement from Eastsail that your cancellation has
been approved. For approved cancellations the deposit may be
transferred to a new booking, to be taken within 6 months of the
original departure date. if you cannot give the required notice for a
cancellation or postponement, the deposit will be forfeited, refunds are
INCLEMENT OR UNSAFE WEATHER: Our events are adventure activities and may not be cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather. Spray jackets will be provided. In the event of lightening, the event may be temporarily delayed or suspended until the danger passes.
VESSEL: The number and type of yachts allocated are at EastSail's discretion and will depend on final numbers.
CATERING: Final numbers for catering required 72 hours prior to departure. Catering cannot be cancelled inside this time and you will be charged regardless of your consumption. Drinks can be ordered through our cellars. No returns or storage for left over drinks is available.
CAR PARKING: Parking can be difficult around the waterfront. More than 2 hour parking is not available on the east side of New Beach Road. Please check the signs before leaving your car. There are 2 parking stations near by in
New McLean St, Edgecliff.
ATTIRE: Comfortable clothing and dressing in layers, a snug fitting
cap, sunglasses with safety strap and sunblock is recommended. We have long
spray jackets available for use during your charter. Footwear, wearing
suitable footwear is important. Please ask your guests to wear soft soled, non
marking shoes. Hard soled shoes, high heels and black soled shoes can damage or
mark the decks. Bare feet and thongs do not give adequate protection.
RIGID PLASTIC AND METAL FOOD CONTAINERS OR COOLERS: Are not permitted aboard due to the damage they can cause to the varnish work. Each yacht has either an icebox or fridge. Foam coolers are permitted.
LOCATION: Our sailing events start and finish at our marina in Rushcutter's Bay. Pick up and/or drop off at other locations are available at additional cost and/or time sacrifice.
SURCHARGES AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Apply to Boxing Day, New Year's period and Australia Day
