RYA Coastal Skipper and Offshore Yachtmaster Shorebased Course

This is comprehensive, advanced course in navigation, passage planning, tides, seamanship and meteorology for candidates for the RYA and YA Coastal Skipper and RYA and YA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.

Previous experience required:

Day Skipper shorebased certificate or equivalent navigation and safety course, plus practical sailing experience. it is recommended that the Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster shorebased theory course is completed prior to the Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster practical course.

Course duration:

40 hours of classroom tuition, either as an evening class 14 weeks @ 3 hours a week or as a 5 day intensive course. learn-navigation
